Serbian Duke, Milos Obrenovic, signed the decision to grant a pension to the first Serbian pensioner. The date of the decision was October 10, 1833. The pensioner’s name was Ilija Marković and the amount of pension paid was 100 Austrian thaler. |

The first decision on the survivor pension grant was passed and first to receive it was Karadjordje's widow, Jelena Dj. Petrovic, a resident of Kragujevac. The date of the decision was February 23, 1835 and the amount of pension paid was 500 thaler. |
